John was a lovely man whose company I always enjoyed on walks ,trips and socials.

He seemed to defy gradients and inclement weather with gusto and always ready

to go the extra mile which we sometimes did on his walks,nevertheless he always got us back.

We had some great evenings where if on the menu, John would enjoy one of his favourites

mixed grill and a beer or four.
